Enterprise Architecture is G&B’s core business. We model each client’s Baseline and Target Architectures and work in partnership through all phases of planning and implementation. We guide the transition of your business from where it is today to where you want it to be tomorrow and ensure EA compliance with Federal models and industry best practices. G&B’s EA staff includes subject-matter leaders who deliver expert architectural approaches and strategies, customized to succeed in each client’s unique environment.
EA Development - EA development, implementation, and maintenance are basic tenets of effective IT management. Managed properly, these architectures can clarify and help optimize the interdependencies and interrelationships among an organization's business operations and underlying IT infrastructure and applications that support these operations. G&B has provided development expertise to formulate and document all aspects of an enterprise architecture including As-Is and To-Be models and migration plans to smoothly guide an organization from one state to the next. We provide on-going support to ensure that use of the EA is dynamic and a guiding force in an organization's IT management, not just a document on a shelf.

Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) - The FEAF provides a mechanism for managing development and maintenance of the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), and for facilitating decision-making regarding the FEA. The FEA is a strategic information asset that defines the business, information necessary to operate the business, information systems, technologies necessary to support business operations, and the processes necessary to manage change. Because EA changes as a result of dynamic outside influences, the EA must be viewed in the context of a process. G&B staff includes experts in various EA frameworks starting with the Zachman model more than ten years ago. We have followed this model as it transitioned to the current FEA tailored to the Federal government and our company has been recognized as a leader in federal EA development by more than a dozen departments and agencies.
